Nestled in the beautiful East Hertfordshire countryside, Stocking Pelham is a small rural parish located close to the Essex border between Bishop’s Stortford and Buntingford. Surrounded by farmland, footpaths and open countryside, the village forms part of the historic group of Pelham villages alongside Brent Pelham and Furneux Pelham.

At the heart of the village is the historic St Mary’s Church, home to a rare medieval bell dating from the late 14th century, together with the Village Hall, Recreation Field and Cricket Club — all contributing to a strong and active community spirit. Village Hall hosts a variety of local events and activities throughout the year, while the Recreation Field and Cricket Pavilion provide an important hub for sport and village gatherings. The village is also home to the Pelhams Penguins preschool and a number of local community organisations supported by volunteers.
